Where we conform, and where we know we do not

Accessibility statement

runnerhut's accessibility conformance status against WCAG 2.2 AA, known limitations, and how to report a barrier.

Updated 2026-08-14

The European Accessibility Act applies to many digital services offered in the EU. This statement records where we stand rather than claiming a clean bill of health.

Conformance status

This website aims to conform to WCAG 2.2 level AA. Conformance is partial: the items below are known not to meet it.

What we have verified

  • Skip-to-content link on every page
  • One h1 per page and a logical heading hierarchy
  • Visible focus indicators, and a full keyboard path through navigation
  • prefers-reduced-motion respected — animation is disabled, not merely slowed
  • Decorative SVGs marked aria-hidden; interactive controls labelled
  • html lang and dir set correctly for each of the 18 locales

Known limitations

  • Contrast on some muted body text has not been formally audited against 4.5:1
  • The language switcher uses a native disclosure and has not been tested with every screen reader
  • Code blocks are scrollable regions without an explicit accessible name
  • No independent third-party accessibility audit has been carried out yet

Reporting a barrier
