Why we publish instructions for leaving

On every migration page we publish the diff to move to runnerhut, and directly underneath it, the diff to move back off.

Two reasons. The first is that after BuildJet's shutdown, "what happens if you disappear" is a question every buyer in this category should be asking, and a vendor who cannot answer it plainly is telling you something.

The second is that it disciplines us. If leaving is genuinely one line, we cannot retain anyone through switching costs — only by being faster and cheaper than the alternative. That is the position we would rather compete from.
